Classes at the Studio

If you are looking for something different to do I can provide you with an enjoyable session working with textiles. Classes can be arranged to meet group needs and requirements. Feel free to drop in and browse, even if classes are running.

Class Diary in Brief
  • Monday 10am-3pm. hour long children's classes,during school holidays. 3pm onwards After school class for primary school age
  • Tuesday 1-3pm Helping Hand class. 3.30 onwards After school class for secondary school age group. >/
  • 6.30 - 6.30 Helping Hand Class
  • Thursday10-12.00 Thursday Threads Coffee Morning
  • Friday 10am, Project Day

Class details

All children's groups will be £3.00, one hour long and geared to age group.Pre-school children must be accompanied. Please book in advance. There may be a small additional cost for materials

  • Helping Hand £5.00. Suitable for beginners or more experienced.
  • Tips and techniques to becoming a more competent sewer.
  • Bring along those projects that have been lurking unfinished. I'll help get them back on track.
  • After School Class for secondary school children.

    £3 + materials. 1hr session Sewing machines will be available to use at the class.



    Private bookings are available, contents to suit your requirments


    Thursday Threads 10-12.30

    Drop in session. Cost is a donation to the refreshment fund. Knit and natter, so and sew, put the textile world to rights, catch up with friends, drink tea or coffee and sample my home baking. Can't think of a nicer way to spend the morning. Bring along a piece of hand work (or not) and just enjoy the company. Little projects available to buy in shop if you like.


    Friday Project Day.

    10-3.30 ish £20 + materials These will be set projects including dressmaking, patchwork, and other textile- crafts -- something for everyone. Requirements will be given on booking, A £5 non refundable deposit is required and the full amount will be due if cancelling within 48hrs. Please see list below and book ahead. Coffee on arrival.Light lunches and refreshments throughout will be provided.

    • 13th Jan Winter wall hanging, varous techniques to create seasonal panel.
    • 27th Jan Rag Rug, old fashioned, great way of useing & recycling the scraps.
    • 3rd Feb Free Machine Embroidery, exciting way of creating own designs.
    • 17th Feb Scrap Quilt, random patchwork using old lace, special saved pieces, crochet doilies etc.
    • 2nd Mar Rag Rug
    • 16th Mar Waistcoat, choice of designs, basic dressmaking skills.
    • 23rd Mar Needle felting, as seen by Kirsty.
    • 30th Mar Etui & Fabric boxes
    • Norman Cummings Fabrics date TBC
